Natural Portraits for Camera-Shy Creatives: At-Home Headshots in Brisbane

This summer, I’ve had the privilege of photographing two artists in their studios and capturing professional headshots for a writer at her home here in Brisbane. While their crafts differ, they all shared one thing in common: their environment deeply shapes their creative practice. They also shared another trait—they were all admittedly camera-shy people.

Luckily, I love the challenge of helping even the most camera-averse individuals feel comfortable in their own skin. One major takeaway from these recent sessions is that taking your portraits at home (or in your workspace) makes it significantly easier to relax. As for Jane, she was grateful that I could offer a mobile headshot session at her house.
